Airplants are so easy to take care of. Just give us some waterlight, and some love

Air, light, water, and warmth

To take care of us, take into consideration: air, light, water, and warmth.

We can be placed outside in the summer so we can enjoy the brighter sun, rainfall, and increased amount of water vapor in the atmosphere.

Of course, depending on the plant we might require different levels of humidity. The whiter we are, the more resistant to high temperatures.

We love natural light and ventilation. A perfect place to enjoy ourselves is near a window with natural light.

We’ll grow healthy when you bathe us for some seconds in water or if you spray us two or three times a week. Please don’t forget to shake us to take away excess watering.

As we are native Americans, in love with warm weather, bear in mind a very cold exterior temperature will make us quite sad.

Air care

We love air! Please provide us with a well-ventilated place at your home, so we stay healthy.

In dry spaces, like air-conditioned rooms or close to a heater, we might need more water than usual.

Light care

We enjoy indirect light, so please provide us with some light shade from direct sunshine, particularly behind glass. We love windows behind a net curtain and just a few hours of direct sunlight.

Water care (the most important thing to do)

From spring until autumn, we love to be watered on average two to three times a week. Make sure to shake us, and make us dance so we dry off. It is extremely important to remove excess water!

In high temperatures and little humidity, we need water more frequently; less often in cooler, humid conditions. So it depends a lot on the usual temperatures where we live to decorate your life.

A good tip to care for us is misting us to prevent dehydration in warm conditions, but it might not provide sufficient moisture alone so please don’t assume it replaces immersion.

Temperature care

You need to treat us according to the weather conditions where you live.

  • In winter, when temperatures are lower than 12ºC (54ºF) avoid watering us much. Just a little misting is ok for us. That’s unless we’re exposed to constant indoor heating, of course.
  • In summer, we need more water and we need to be soaked more frequently. Again, don’t forget to shake us to remove excess water as otherwise, we could rot.

With this little care, we’ll decorate your home for you.
